Director of Communications – Merisa Boyd

Merisa is from Agawam, MA and earned her BA in Communication and Media Studies from Emmanuel College in 2017. She began working with the Blades as a communications intern. She is now an Emerson College student, working towards her Master’s in Public Relations with a Sports Communication concentration. For any media related requests or questions please contact [email protected]

Director of Digital Media – Mimi Murad

Mimi is a native of Utica, NY and is currently residing in Medford, MA. She is a Cazenovia College graduate and works as a Live Content Creator for Major League Baseball.

Event Manager – Michael Carpenito

Mike is from Leominster, MA and is currently enrolled at Fitchburg State University, working towards an MBA. He has earned two Bachelor’s Degrees; one in Sports Management from Salem State College and another in Game Design from Fitchburg State University. He also works as an assistant lacrosse coach and as the Quality Assurance Manager for an independent video game company.

Athletic Trainer – Sharona Mallach

Sharona currently works as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Anna Maria College, working primarily with Men’s Ice Hockey. She previously spent time at RPI, in Troy NY, with the Women’s Ice Hockey team, as well as at Nazareth College, Assumption College, and Fairleigh Dickinson University – Florham. Mallach also volunteers with Maccabi USA, having served as an Athletic Trainer for the 2015 European Games in Berlin, Germany. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Boston University, and her Master’s in Athletic Training from Seton Hall University. She is NATABOC Certified licensed in MA and NY.

Equipment Manager – Lisa Clegg

An Easton, MA resident, Lisa sees herself as being an “all trades” kind of person. She has previously worked as a phlebotomist, EMT, and fire fighter. She has also played hockey at all levels with the exception of pro as a goalie.

Statistician – Trey Carrier

Trey is a current Sport Management student at Newbury College, set to graduate in 2020. From Webster, MA, he also works as an Offensive Coaching Intern for Massachusetts Pirates of the NAL. He is also an Assistant Football Coach for Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Public Address Announcer – James Hayes

From Olean, NY and currently residing in Lexington, MA, James has a B.S. and a M.A. in Astronomy from Pennsylvania State (1969) and the University of Pittsburgh (1974). He presently works for the East Coast Wizards as a scorekeeper  and announcer and also has 20 years of military service in the United States Army from 1972-1992.

Play-by-Play Broadcaster – Max Wolpoff

Max is from Washington, D.C. and is currently enrolled at Boston University. He has served as a broadcaster for multiple teams, mostly with BU Women’s Hockey, and spent the summer as a co-broadcaster for the Bethesda Big Train baseball team.

Communications Intern – Zach Bamberger

As a Northborough, MA native, Zach describes himself as a diehard Boston sports fan. He earned his B.S. in Sport Management from Springfield College and has also worked for the Worcester Railers and the Providence Bruins.
