Wade Davis II to Drop Puck on You Can Play Night

Former NFL player, Wade Davis II, will be in attendance for Saturday’s You Can Play game vs. Montreal to drop the ceremonial puck.

Since his NFL retirement, Davis has taken on many roles. Most notably, he is known as a speaker, writer, activist and educator. He came out in 2012 and has openly spoke about his experience being closeted in the NFL.

He has heavily advocated for those identifying as LGBTQ through his work with the You Can Play Project and the YOU Belong Initiative.

Davis has also taught courses on Sports Management, Media, and Business at New York University and has given lectures and lead workshops throughout the country at various colleges and universities.

The Blades are very excited to welcome someone that has dedicated so much of his life to diversity and inclusion to Larsen Rink to drop the ceremonial puck on You Can Play Night.

Tickets can be purchased both online and at the door on game day. Fans can also follow along on Twitter and catch the live game broadcast on YouTube.
