Weekend Preview: Heading to Montreal

The Blades are heading to Montreal this weekend to face Les Canadiennes at Place Bell à Laval. Game one’s puck drops at 6:30 p.m. with game two beginning at 1 p.m.

Previous Games

Worcester faced Montreal two weeks ago where they fell by final scores of 5-0 and 9-0. Jetta Rackleff made her season debut in game one and saw 40 minutes of ice time in game two after coming in for Mariah Fujimagari. Rackleff made 73 saves between both games.

Les Canadiennes de Montreal are coming off two losses to Calgary last weekend where they fell by scores of 4-2 and 3-2.

Montreal Player to Watch

Marie Phillip-Poulin (Forward)

Poulin tallied two goals and five assists in the two games she played in Worcester. Last week, the three-time Olympic medal winner added another goal and assist vs. Calgary. She leads her team in points with 15, 4 goals and 11 assists.

Worcester Player to Watch

Alexis Miller (Defense)

The Boston University graduate is in her first season with the Blades. In her last game vs. Montreal, she left the 9-0 loss without damaging her +/-.  Her ability to keep the puck to the outside and block shots will be something to keep an eye on vs. an Olympian-filled Montreal team.
